Purpose & Passion

For most of my life, I have felt God’s call to communicate the purpose and passion behind my relationship with Jesus Christ and how it impacts every area of my life.  As is my nature, this is often done in an upbeat and positive way.  My favorite verse of the Bible is John 10:10, which reminds us that Jesus came to give us a full and abundant life.  This is what I seek for myself, my family, and others.  It is also what I feel most strongly called to communicate – through living, speaking, and writing.

This blog was started in 2014.  Through 2016, this page was used to communicate messages that God laid upon my heart to communicate but that I didn’t have a specific outlet for.  Not long after accepting a position as lead pastor at North Collins Wesleyan Church, my energies went into communicating through weekly messages, and I stopped blogging.  I am returning to this now in 2023 as an avenue to record and share what God has placed upon my heart.

What can you expect?   There will be some new blogs coming!  In my current position, I don’t preach every week and I plan to share some new thoughts that are on my heart and mind.  In the position that I serve at Bethany Wesleyan, I regularly share to our church staff or in small groups.   Many of those topics are applicable to a larger crowd and are worth sharing. I also plan to regularly post updated message notes from sermons delivered in the past and present.  When available, I’ll link videos of those sermons from when they were initially delivered.

You may find a random post, here or there, about current hobbies or things I find interesting.  Overall, here I hope you’ll find a place of encouragement and a testimony to what it can look like to live a full life, filled with passion for a relationship with Jesus Christ!
